Find the LCM (in this case, it's 12)
8/12 red
3/12 yellow
Make 3/12 a full quart by multiplying by 4
3/12 x 4/1 = 1
Since you multiplied 3/12 with 4, do the same with red
8/12 x 4/1
SIMPLIFY TO MAKE EASIER
8/3 x 1
You use 2 2/3 quarts of red paint for every quart of yellow paint

George ate 4 slices of pizza. If this was 25% of the slices at the dinner table, how many slices were at the table to start with
Rainbow [258]
The equation is-
25% of the total (x) =4
Change 25% to a decimal, 0.25
0.25(x)=4
Divide 0.25 from both sides
0.25x/.25=4/.25
x= 16
Or, you could multiply 4 times 4, since 25% is a quarter.

There were 16 slices at the table.

How you would solve this problem. 3n=15
Sergio [31]

Answer: n=5

Step-by-step explanation: You are solving for ‘n’ so you would want to get ‘n’ by itself on one side of the equation. The easiest way to do this would be to divide both sides by 3, which would make ‘3n’ turn to ‘n’ and 15 into 5.
