Answer:

<u><em>Breanna, Myquisha,</em></u><u><em> then </em></u><u><em>Ariana</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Breanna</em></u><u><em>- </em></u><u><em>62 inches</em></u>

<u><em>Myquisha</em></u><u><em>-5 feet 4 inches=</em></u><u><em>64 inches</em></u>

<u><em>Ariana</em></u><u><em>-1 yard, 2 feet, 7 inches=5 feet 7 inches=</em></u><u><em>67 inches</em></u>

<u><em /></u>

<u><em /></u>

Ariana had the longest jump because she jumped more inches.

Breanna had the shortest jump because she jumped the least amount of inches.

Myquisha was in the middle because she didn't jump short or long.

Let’s convert all their jumps into inches.

Breanna’s is already in inches (62)

Myquisha jumped 5 feet 4 inches
There are 12 inches in a foot, so

5 feet * 12 inches= 60 inches

Then add the 4 inches
60+4= 64
So Myquisha jumped 64 inches.

Ariana jumped 1 yard, 2 feet, 7 inches

1 yard is equal to 3 feet.

So, she jumped 5 feet 7 inches

12 inches in a foot, so
5*12=60 inches

Add the 7
60+7= 67 inches

So Breanna jumped 62, Myquisha 64 and Ariana 67

In order of shortest to longest:

Breanna, Myquisha, Ariana

How would I do this one?
viva [34]
First we would need to make a diagram, and from the given it would seem like it is a right triangle with the height as 760 ft. We have an angle given 89°18' which would need to be converted to degrees form, which is 89.3<span>°.

Now we would need to look for the ground distance, meaning the adjacent of the triangle. Since we have been given the angle and the height (which is the opposite side from the angle) we use the trigonometric function cotangent.

</span><span>760 Cot <span>[<span><span>(<span>89.3</span>)</span>∘</span>]</span>= 9.29 ft, that is the answer.</span>
