The correct answer is C.

After the sucess of keynesian economics and generalized usage of fiscal policy to boost aggregate demand and to generate economic growth, monetarists promoted the usage of monetary policy mechanisms instead. They defended that it was not the Great Depression era anymore, and hence the liquidity trap was not operating and the arguments given by Keynes to defend fiscal policies over monetary policies were not valid anymore.

Monetarists believed that controlling the money supply was the most powerful tool that goverments had to control economic cycles and that every economic authority should implement an automatic monetary program.

How did President Washington influence the American presidency
Sergeu [11.5K]

Unanimously elected twice, President Washington established many crucial presidential precedents.

George Washington helped shape the office's future role and powers, as well as set both formal and informal precedents for future presidents. Washington believed that it was necessary to strike a delicate balance between making the presidency powerful enough to function effectively in a national government, while also avoiding any image of establishing a monarchy or dictatorship. In the process, President Washington significantly influenced the path for the presidency moving forward, setting standards in all aspects, including political power, military practice, and economic policy.
