Answer:

hhere is your answer this might help u..

Explanation:

this is because..

mercury forms <u>convex meniscus</u>... with object.. which make it not to wet any type of surfaces..

but...

water forms <u>concave meniscus.</u>.. which act opposite like mercury and wets the body...

and another reason is that water has <em><u>adhesive</u></em> properties...

thanks for question

In February 1955, a paratrooper fell 1200 ft from an
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

s=1.1107\ m is the minimum depth of snow for survivable stopping.

Explanation:

Given:

  • terminal velocity of fall, u=56\ m.s^{-1}
  • mass of the paratrooper, m=85\ kg
  • force on the paratrooper by the ice to stop him, F=1.2\times 10^5\ N

<u>Firstly, we calculate the deceleration caused in the snow:</u>

a=\frac{F}{m}

a=\frac{120000}{85}

a=1411.765\ m.s^{-2}

Now, using equation of motion:

v^2=u^2+2a.s ....................(1)

where:

v = final velocity of the body after stopping

u = initial velocity of the body just before hitting the snow

a = acceleration of the body in the snow

s = distance through in the snow

Putting respective values in eq. (1)

0^2=56^2+2\times (-1411.765)\times s

s=1.1107\ m

Can someone pleassssssssssse answer this
siniylev [52]
As the plane falls the parabolic path remains directly below as the plane continues to fly over. This give more of an overview. When the package falls vertical acceleration happens as there is a vertical velocity as the package falls form high above. The downwards motion of gravity acts on the package if the approximated projectile motion ignoring air resistance.

Fluid flows at 2.0 m/s through a pipe of diameter 3.0 cm. What is the volume flow rate of the fluid in m^3/
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

Volume flow rate = 1.41 \times 10^{-3}m^3/s

Explanation:

The volume flow rate through a channel can be gotten by multiplying its area and its velocity.

The channel under consideration is a circular channel. Hence, the cross-sectional area can be calculated by using the relation for calculating the area of a circle

Cross-sectional area = \pi \times d^{2}/4

A = \pi \times (3\times 10^-2)^2  /4 = 7.07 \times 10 ^-4 m^2

volume flow rate= A =  7.07 \times 10 ^-4 m^2 X 2.0 = 1.41 \times 10^{-3}m^3/s

Volume flow rate = 1.41 \times 10^{-3}m^3/s

A 2.0 kg block on a horizontal frictionless surface is attached to a spring whose force constant is 590 N/m. The block is pulled
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

The  value is  v =  -0.04 \  m/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The  mass  of the block is  m = 2.0 \ kg

   The  force constant  of the spring is  k  =  590 \ N/m

   The amplitude  is  A =  + 0.080

   The  time consider is  t =  0.10 \  s

Generally the angular velocity of this  block is mathematically represented as

      w =  \sqrt{\frac{k}{m} }

=>   w =  \sqrt{\frac{590}{2} }

=>   w = 17.18 \  rad/s

Given that the block undergoes simple harmonic motion the velocity is mathematically represented as

         v  =  -A w sin (w* t )

=>       v  = -0.080 * 17.18 sin (17.18* 0.10 )

=>       v =  -0.04 \  m/s
