Answer:

Rights needed for each new share = 8.14 rights

Explanation:

Amount needed to expand = $1.6 million

465,000 shares of stock outstanding at a market price per share of $32.50

The subscription price = $28

Number of rights issued = 1 right per share × 465,000 shares

Number of rights issued = 465,000 rights

Number of shares needed = $1,600,000 / $28

Number of shares needed = 57,142.857

Rights needed for each new share = Number of rights issued / Number of shares needed

Rights needed for each new share = 465,000 / 57,142.857

Rights needed for each new share = 8.14 rights

The following planned figures have been developed by a buyer for next month: sales = $25,000; reductions = $1,500; BOM stock = $
sweet [91]

Answer:

The planned purchases are given as  $34,500 while the value of OTB is $28,900

Explanation:

The Planned purchases is given as

Planned Sales + Planned Markdowns + Planned End of Month Inventory - Planned Beginning of Month Inventory = Planned Purchases

So here the planned sales are 25000

The planned Reductions are 1500

The End of Month inventory is 88000

The Beginning of Month Inventory is 80000 So the value is given as

25000+1500+88000-80000= Planned Purchases

Planned Purchases =34500

The OTB is given as

OTB=Planned Purchases-Commitment

OTB=34500-5600

OTB=28900

Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

The answer for each requirement is given separately below.

Explanation:

What is the economic production quantity (EPQ)?

EPQ = ((Annual Requirement * setup cost *2)/Carrying cost per unit)^(1/2)

         = ((30,000 * 50 *2)/3^(1/2)

         = 1000 Units

a. What is the average inventory level for this optimum production quantity?

Average Inventory level = EPQ/2 = 500 units

b. How many production setups would there be in a year?

Production setups = Annual Usage /EPQ = 30 set ups

C. What is the optimal length of production run in days

length of production = Total Requirement/production per day

                                   = 30,000/275

                                   =110 days approx

d. What would be the savings in annual inventory Cost if setup costs can be reduced to US$40 per setup?

If set up cost reduce to $40  than EPQ = 895

So Set up cost = 30,000/ 895 * 40 = 1,360

Carrying cost = 883/2 *3                  = 1,325

Total Cost                                          = $ 2,685 -A

If set up cost  $50  than EPQ = 1000

So Set up cost = 30,000/ 1000 * 50   = 1,500

Carrying cost = 1000/2 *3                  = 1,500

Total Cost                                          = $ 3,000- B

Saving = B-A = 315 Dollars
