Answer: - It can be corrupt.  It is often ineffective.

Explanation: - It can be corrupt. (True, lots of nepotism, fake positions, privileges, exorbitant salaries for members of its upper management. Accusations of crime by UN troops).

- It is often ineffective. (Yes and no. It is ineffective because it has no military enforcing force or a system of economic sanctions to force rogue states to comply with its values. However, it is a formidable means of political and public pressure and only for that is better than nothing at all).

- It limits US sovereignty. This is only true if the US let the UN do such thing (it has never happened). The US invaded Panama without a UN mandate. It invaded Vietnam without a UN mandate. It invaded Iraq in 2003 without a UN mandate. China invaded and annexed Tibet in the 1950s and the UN was never able to stop it. Russia invaded several countries and the UN was able to do nothing about it.

- It restricts US foreign policy. Not really, the US is one of the founding Security Council members and can easily ply the UN by refusing to pay its yearly contribution (already happening).

- It includes a small number of nations. (False, most nations on Earth are part of the UN).

- It focuses only on issues related to trade. (False, it focuses on any issue that is relevant to the planet’s welfare).

Ipatiy [6.2K]

By fulfilling God's plan that He has for them.

By following The Bible not only on Sunday, but on EVERY day of the week. My favorite one is: Doing what you are supposed to do the hard way. (Because we as humans cannot learn the easy way)

So, what I'm basically saying is: If you think that winning something is good, then you really might want to know that God's Victory is Eternal Through YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE!

How does Chester A. Arthur's decisions influence us today?
enot [183]

Historians view the Chester Arthur presidency as an important surprise, one that no one would have expected. Put simply, he performed well in office, defying his state-based reputation as a slick machine politician. Despite his poor health, he attempted to govern competently, and he succeeded to a degree that was never acknowledged by his fellow politicians, the press, or the great mass of Americans.

Although Arthur preferred efficient partisan government service to one selected by competitive examinations, he nevertheless showed tremendous flexibility and a willingness to embrace reform. By struggling with the tariff issue (especially being willing to question the protectionist doctrines of the Republican Party) and supporting the modernization of the American Navy, Arthur stands as an important transitional figure in the reunification of the nation after the bitter turmoil of the Civil War and Reconstruction. No party hack, Arthur demonstrated how the office of President could bring out the very best in its occupants.
