\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x+4y=8\\3x+2y=-6\end{array}\right\\\\-----------------------\\x+4y=8\\4y=-x+8\\y=-\frac{1}{4}x+2\\for\ x=0\to y=-\frac{1}{4}(0)+2=2\to(0;\ 2)\\for\ x=4\to y=-\frac{1}{4}(4)+2=-1+2=1\to(4;\ 1)

3x+2y=-6\\2y=-3x-6\\y=-\frac{3}{2}x-3\\for\ x=0\to y=-\frac{3}{2}(0)-3=-3\to(0;-3)\\for\ x=-2\to y=-\frac{3}{2}(-2)-3=3-3=0\to(-2;\ 0)

X + 4y = 8
=> x = 8 - 4y ------> ( 1 )

given that 3x + 2y = -6 , put value of x from ( 1 )

3 ( 8 - 4y ) + 2y = -6
24 - 12y + 2y = -6
24 + 6 - 10y = 0
10y = 30
Divide both sides by 10, we get
y = 3
put the value in ( 1 )

x = 8 - 4 ( 3 )
x  = 8 - 12
x  = -4
Therfore the solution set = {( - 4, 3 ) }

A shipping crate holds 14 books. The dimensions of each book are 4 inches by 11 by 14 inches. For A-C, select Yes or No to indic
Inga [223]

Answer:

A. No

B. Yes

C. No

Step-by-step explanation:

Dimensions of each book are 4 inches by 11 by 14 inches.

A. Each book has a volume of 29 cubic inches.

Volume of each book = length × width × height

= 4 × 11 × 14

= 616 cubic inches

No

B. If the crate could hold 18 books the volume of the crate would be 11,088.

Volume of each book = 616 cubic inches

Volume of the crate = volume of each book × number of books

= 616 × 18

= 11,088 cubic inches

Yes

C. Each crate has a volume of about 8,524 cubic inches

If the crate holds 14 books,

Volume of the crate = volume of each book × number of books

= 616 × 14

= 8,624 cubic inches

No

Step-by-step explanation:

An EHT is an Environmental Health Technician. Integration (Integral Calculus, if that's what you mean) will be applied to an Environmental Health Technician's job in the following way:

1. In the analysis or examination of samples from an environment, such as soil sample, water sample, domestic waste sample, septic waste sample, etc.

Essentially, Integral Calculus (and other forms of Maths) must be studied, before a person is able to be an Environmental Health Technician.

Degrees in any of the following fields are a necessary criterion;

- Applied Science

- Public Health
