Answer: Mitigation of damages

Explanation: The concept of Mitigation of damages defines the action an individual or party who has suffered or incurred a loss arising from a breach of contract should take in other to lessen or mitigate the effect of the contract breach. This will lessen or reduce the loss incurred as a result of the breach caused by the other party. Once there is a breach of contract, Mitigation of damages becomes a duty on the party who has suffered a loss and should therefore, prevent increased 'avoidable loss' caused by the contract breach. Further losses incurred has a result of failure to mitigate damages won't be catered for by the party guilty of the breach of contract.

Explain the concepts of prejudice and discrimination with an example for each.
natita [175]

Answer:

Here is an example of someone prejudging (prejudice) another. Let's say there is a homeless person who is trying to ask for money to feed their son or daughter tonight. A person may approach the homeless man, and the homeless will say "Excuse me sir, do you have any change to spare." The man may look at the sign that the homeless person to up and it says "Trying to feed my daughter tonight." The man laughs, and he says what the sign says. Then, he says "Yeah right you are trying to feed your daughter." "More like spending money on alcohol or drugs." This is practicing prejudice because you judging someone before even knowing them.

An example of discrimination would be if a woman for example doesn't get the same amount of money as a man does if they work the same job. A woman may get paid less because they are not meant for the job, or they say that women always get paid less. This is discrimination because you are not giving the woman the same treatment as the man if they worked the same hours. It may go to a point were a woman works more than a man, but she still gets paid less.

Prejudice- unfair opinions to a group or a individual

Discrimination- mistreatment to one or a group.

Hope this helps!

What are the different policies the United States has had toward the flow of laborers over the Mexican-U.S. border?
ANEK [815]

President Trump signed this Friday an executive order to forbid immigrants to cross the border illegally asking for asylum, the new rule is covered by section 212 of the United States Immigration Act, which describes the causes of inadmissibility of certain foreigners. President Trump could issue a proclamation, for as long as he considers necessary, to suspend the entry of foreigners, immigrants or not, and impose "any restriction that he considers appropriate."

Though, these restrictions had become the former policy for immigration nowadays, In the past, around 1890’s the raising of new industries in the US Southwest attracted Mexican and south Americans migrant laborers, as well the Mexican revolution in 1910 and the years after showed a increase in the flow of immigrants from the Mexican border to U.S.

During president Obama’s administration, according to data from the Immigration Policy Unit of the Secretariat of the Interior (Segob) of Mexico, in the first six months of 2018, the US authorities deported 109,296 Mexicans, most of them through border posts in Baja California and Tamaulipas.

For both countries these actions impact directly the economy, as for Mexico, the revenues received from the US represent the second main source of income just after oil, while for US, it is known that not only Mexican but in general, Latin American workers are considered strong, resilience, adaptable to extreme condition of work in farms, construction, home keeping among several other areas where Americans don’t want to work due to hard conditions.
