Part A:
    firs multiply 9 to 3x and minus 16, after that subtract 15 from -144, then add both side to 129, then subtract 6x from both side,  at the end divide bothe side to 21, the answer is 5.
  9(3x-16)+15=6x-24
    27x-144+15 = 6x-24
     27x-129 = 6x-24
     27x = 6x -24 +129
     27x = 6x +105
     27x - 6x = 105
     21x = 105
      21x/21 = 105/21
      x = 5

Answer:

Part A: You first multiply 9 to 3x and minus 16. Then add 15 to -144. After that add 129 to both sides and subtract 6x from both sides. Divide both sides by 21 to get x my itself. You get x=5.

9(3x-16)+15=6x-24

27x-144+15 = 6x-24

27x-129 = 6x-24

27x -129+129 = 6x -24 +129

27x = 6x +105

27x - 6x =6x-6x 105

21x = 105

21x/21 = 105/21

x = 5

Part b: the value of x is 5

Initially a pool contains 350 gallons of water. A hose is placed in the pool and the water is turned on. The hose adds 5.2 gallo
quester [9]
The amount of water that is turned in a minute is 5.2d. Given the fact that initially was 350 gallons of water everything you pour needs to be added to the initial amount. So the answer is V(x) = 350+5.2x (D). I hope that this is the answer that you were looking for and it has helped you.

how long will it take for the pool to completely fill with water? (explain why so i understand) it’s a 120 gallon pool
zhannawk [14.2K]
First, you find out how much can be filled in 1 minute. Then you divide that into 120 to get your answer.

To find out how much can be filled in 1 minute, take the time and divide it into the volume. We'll use the second row (2 minutes and 8 gallons.)

8/2=4. So it takes 1 minute to fill 4 gallons. Now, you just divide 4 into 120.

120/4=30

It takes 30 minutes to fill the pool up to 120 gallons.
