Lord of the flies, Chapter 6 pages 95-96; summary
Reptile [31]

Answer:

In these pages what happens is that the children feel frightened because of a "beast". But what is a beast to them turns out to be a person who has died.

Since this person is something they do not know, they are afraid of him.

Explanation:

This question refers to the story Lord of the flies by William Golding.

At this moment a dead man in a parachute lands on the island. It seems to come from the war. Anyway, the boys believe that the man is the "beast" and begins a chase to find and kill him. Only Simon doubts that such a creature exists and believes that the beast is a part of themselves and that they are only afraid of themselves. He goes into the woods to contemplate the situation as Jack and Ralph climb the mountain and find the beast, but they don't stay long enough to see that it is just a dead man.

One major theme found in George Orwell's Animal Farm is the idea of education. Identify and discuss at least two specific exampl
murzikaleks [220]

Answer and Explanation:

For Orwell, education was the main factor in preventing tyrannical and fascist leaders from coming to power. This is because education would give people information and critical thinking. These two factors would prevent the population from being exploited and reduced, as they would perceive facist behaviors and be able to reflect on the negative results that the population would resolve. In this way, the well-educated population would be able to establish factors to overthrow these leaders of power and prevent them from exploiting any individual.

However, we know that the nations most exploited by factional and authoritarian leaders are those that do not provide, or provide poor quality education, leaving the population to the mercy of those who say they are more intelligent and more capable, who are, in their majority, tyrannical.

Two examples of this in "Animal farm" can be seen, when pigs pose themselves as the super animals because of their intelligence, knowledge and quick thinking. While horses, which do not have this development, are exploited, humiliated and devalued by pigs, but believe that as pigs have more knowledge, pigs are correct.

What are five examples of transition words
Lilit [14]

Answer:

The most basic transition words are conjunctions that join words, phrases or clauses together. For example, words like "and," "but" and "or" can connect two sentences together:

I ran home, and I got there just in time.

I ran home, but I was still late.

As you can see in the example above, even simple conjunctions serve different purposes. The first sentence uses "and" as a transition word that connects the two occurrences equally. The second sentence uses "but," which introduces a contrast. Knowing what different transition words mean will help you choose the ones that best get your point across.

Other transition words are adverbs that describe the way an action is performed or how it relates to another idea. For example:

I went to the mall after he gave me my paycheck.

Explanation:

-cause and effect: consequently, therefore, accordingly, as a result, because, for this reason, hence, thus

-sequence: furthermore, in addition, moreover, first, second, third, finally, again, also, and, besides, further, in the first place, last, likewise, next, then, too

-comparison or contrast: similarly, also, in the same way, likewise, although, at the same time, but, conversely, even so, however, in contrast, nevertheless, nonetheless, notwithstanding, on the contrary, otherwise, still, yet

-example: for example, for instance, in fact, indeed, of course, specifically, that is, to illustrate

-purpose: for this purpose, for this reason, to this end, with this object

time or location: nearby, above, adjacent to, below, beyond, farther on, here, opposite to, there, to the south, before, after, later, afterward, immediately, in the meantime, meanwhile, now, since, soon, then, while
