<h3>♫ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: // Hello There ! //  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ♫</h3>

➷  We can form an equation:

n + n + 1 = 417

Simplify this:

2n + 1 = 417

-1 from both sides

2n = 416

Divide both sides by 2:

n = 208

Thus, the two page numbers are 208 and 209.

<u>ANSWER:</u>

The page numbers are 208 and 209

<u>SOLUTION: </u>

Given, the left and right page numbers of an open book are two consecutive integers whose sum is 417.

We need to find these page numbers.

Let, the left page number value be x

Then, the right page number value becomes x + 1, because right page comes after the left page while numbering and as they are consecutive, value of right page number is greater than left page number.

Now, according to the given information,

left page number + right page number = 417

x + (x + 1) = 417

x + x + 1 = 417

2x + 1 = 417

2x = 417 – 1

2x = 416

x = \frac{416}{2}

x = 208

left page number is 208

Now, right page number is (x + 1) = 208 + 1 = 209

Hence, the page numbers are 208 and 209

The point-slope equation of a line is
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

D. y - y_0 = m(x - x_0).

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line can be written in the point-slope form if we know the the coordinates of a point the line passes through which is (x_0, y_0). And if we also know the slope = m of the line.

Therefore, the point-slope equation is given as:

y - y_0 = m(x - x_0)

If (42)p = 414, what is the value of p? (1 point) Group of answer choices 7 8 12 16
Vikki [24]

Answer:

p = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

42p = 414

We need to find the value of p. It can be done by dividing both sides by 42. So,

\dfrac{42p}{42}=\dfrac{414}{42}\\\\p=9.857

Out of the given options, option (b) i.e. 8 is the nearest option. So, the value of p = 8.
