Covering the brake is the action when yourself your right foot off the accelerator and holding it over the brake pedal. It's where your foot hovers over the brake but does not actually apply pressure. An example of using this technique would be when your moving from accelerating to braking it slows the stopping distance.
Hope this helps !

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Cover the brake:

In driving four wheelers, we know we have tools as ABC i.e. accelerator Brake and clutch from right to left in the order.

Whenever there is heavy traffic or there may be a necessity to apply sudden brake and stop the vehicle, this cover the brake is done.

This is the action where our right leg is taken off from the accelerator and just kept on the brake without pressing it actually but ready to press it at any moment as and when necessary.

Can someone complete the square
pshichka [43]
To do these, start by looking at the "b" value -6.
divide it by 2

-6/2 = -3

now square this number

(-3)^2 = 9

this is what you need for the "c" value

there is only a 5 for the c value so add 4 to both sides of the equation. ( +4 = +4)

y +4 = x^2 -6x +5 +4
y +4 = x^2 -6x +9
y +4 = (x -3)^2
y = (x -3)^2 - 4

vertex ( 3, -4) upwards facing like a bowl, because the "a" value is positive. So the vertex is the minimum, lowest point on the graph.

Find an equation for the line tangent to the circle x^2 +y^2=25 at the point (3, -4)
Lostsunrise [7]
Hello :
the center of this cercle is : O( 0, 0)
calculate the slope  m of the line : OA    .. A (3,-4)
m= (yA - yO) / (xA- xO)
m = (-4-0)/(3-0)
m= -4/3
if : k the slope of the tangent : k×m = -1 (the tangent perpendiclar of : OA)
k× (-4/3) = -1
k = 3/4
an equation of this tangent is : y - (-4) = (3/4)(x-3)

A cylinder and a cone have the same base and height. The cylinder can hold about 4,712 mc015-1.jpg of sand. Jared says that the
exis [7]
The correct answer is C. So, lets go first to the equations that determine the volume of these solids. For the cylinder, that is simple; pi*r*r*h where r is the radius, h is the height and pi is the constant 3.14. For the cone, it is not easy to derive but one gets that the formula is:\frac{ \pi*r^2*h}{3}.

We notice thus that V_{cyl}=\pi*r^2*h=3V_{cone}. That holds irrespective of their radius or height; we only need to know that the heights and radii of the two objects are the same. Now, we have thus that:
\frac{V_{Cyl}}{V_{Cone} } =1/3.

We can check if this holds for Jared's statement; 1178/4712=0.25=1/4. So, it does not hold and thus Jared's statement is incorrect.

how many gallons will it take to mow a lawn if you maintain the rate of 1/2 gallon of gasoline per 1/4 mowed
Musya8 [376]
Recall that one whole is 1, or in this case since the denominator is 4, then 4/4 is 1 whole, so the whole lawn is 4/4.

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}
gallons&mowed\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
\frac{1}{2}&\frac{1}{4}\\\\
g&\frac{4}{4}
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{\frac{1}{2}}{g}=\cfrac{\frac{1}{4}}{\frac{4}{4}}\implies \cfrac{\frac{1}{2}}{\frac{g}{1}}=\cfrac{\frac{1}{4}}{\frac{4}{4}}\implies \cfrac{1}{2}\cdot \cfrac{1}{g}=\cfrac{1}{4}\cdot \cfrac{4}{4}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{1}{2g}=\cfrac{1}{4}\implies 4=2g\implies \cfrac{4}{2}=g\implies 2=g
