The correcte answer is: "to emphasize the threat posed by Japan"

Rossevelt asked that it be a short speech that did not exceed five hundred words and focused on the essential message to reach as many Americans as possible: that the United States had been attacked by Japan by surprise and without a previous declaration of war and that the United States was willing to defeat him no matter what it cost.

How the environment affect how we are, how other see us, and what we do?
AnnyKZ [126]

The environment plays a major role in several things such as who we are and how others see us. As defined in Merriam-Webster for the word environment, "the circumstances, objects, or conditions by which one is surrounded." This goes to prove that our environment is not only comprised of what is outside in nature, but also everything from the contents of our living room to the clear, blue skies. I believe that our environment affects what we do majorly. For example, when somebody is locked inside a prison, their environment is very harsh, cold, and dark. This changes their mental attitude, and often leads to something such as depression.

How do text features help you read a non fiction text
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

Text features help readers determine what is important to the text and to them. Without a table of contents or an index, readers can spend wasted time flipping through the book to find the information they need. Special print helps draw the attention of the reader to important or key words and phrases.
