Describe the story behind author Angie Thomas’s “The Hate U Give.” Why did she write it, and how did she come up with the title?
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

Okay, I read this book and watched the movie. The book is about African Americans and how police shoot innocent teens because police think they have "a gun." This was the first part. The other is how the main character "Starr" coped with Khalil's death.

Angie Thomas wrote this book because of fatal African American shootings. She came up with the title because a song that came up in the book by Tupac, "the hate u gave little infants....everybody"

(By the way, really recommend the movie, it is super emotional!)

Hope this helped! >.<

How can the topic "students and cell phones” be presented as an argument?
Studentka2010 [4]

Answer: Cell-phone usage should be embraced at public schools as a means of information acquisition

Explanation:

An argument topic would be one that suggests something should be done in a certain way or is a certain way. It is therefore an opinion on how things should be done.

From the options, the first cannot be presented as an argument as it is simply a statement of fact. The same goes for the second and third options. The fourth option however, suggest that cell-phones should be used to get information in public schools. It is therefore an opinion and can be presented as an argument.
