How do you solve 9x-(5x-7)=39

Mathematics

First thing you would do is distribute the negative on the outside of the parentheses to the inside terms:

9x - 5x + 7 = 39

Now, combine like terms:

4x + 7 = 39

Subtract 7 from both sides to get variables on one side of the equal sign and constants on the other:

4x = 39 - 7

4x = 32

Divide both sides by 4 to isolate the variable x.

x = 32 / 4

x = 8

9x-5x+7=39
4x+7=39
4x+7=39
-7 -7
4x=32
Divide that with 4 and is x=8.

A savings account at Bank A pays 5% simple interest. An account at Bank B pays 2% compound interest. The table shows the balance
hram777 [196]
After a long period of time The balance in BankB will be greater.

Because simple interest is just interest on the principle only which is 50 every year doesn't change but with compound interest you will get 2% Interest every year (interest on principle+interest of the previous year)

So it's b

Hope it helps

A piece of paper is randomly selected from a stack that contains 15 small, 44 large, and 20 extra large pieces.
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:  The true statement is (A) P(extra large)≈0.25.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a piece of paper is randomly selected from a stack that contains 15 small, 44 large, and 20 extra large pieces.

We are to select the true statement.

Let S be the sample space for the experiment of choosing a piece.

Then, n(S) = 15 + 44 + 20 = 79.

Let A, B and C denote the events of choosing a small piece, a large piece and an extra large piece respectively.

So, n(A) = 15, n(B) = 44  and  n(C) = 20.

Therefore, we have

Thus, the true statement is P(extra large)≈0.25.

Option (A) is correct
