Answer:

Felipe drove the truck for 1.26 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Base fee = $14.95

Additional charge for each mile driven = 87 cents

Amount Felipe paid when he returned the truck = $124.57

To Find:

How many miles did he drive the truck =?

Solution:

Let number of miles Felipe drove be X

Then according to the question,

Base fare + 87(number of miles driven) = 124.57

Substituting the known values,

14.95 + 87(x) = 124.57

124.57- 14.95 = 87 x

109.62 = 8x

x = \frac{109.62}{87}

x = 1.26

What is the answer to this problem-
(a-3b+5)-(-a+2b+3)
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

\displaystyle 2 - 5b + 2a

Step-by-step explanation:

To avoid confusion, distribute that negative amongst all terms in the second set of parentheses:

\displaystyle 2a - 5b + 2 = (a - 3b + 5) - (-a + 2b + 3)

** The above answer is written in reverse, which is the exact same result.

Quadrilateral ABCD is similiar to quadrilateral EFGH. The lengths of the three longest sides in quadrilateral ABCD are 24 feet,
MatroZZZ [7]

The two quadrilaterals are given similar .

In any similar figure sides are in proportion.The second largest side of quadrilateral ABCD is 16 ft .Let the second longest side of quadrilateral EFGH be x ft. These sides will be in proportion to each other .

The second shortest side of quadrilateral EFGH that is GF will be proportional to the third longest side of quadrilateral ABCD that is BC

We can form a proportion with the proportional sides:

\frac{16}{x} =\frac{12}{18}

To solve for x we cross multiply

12x=(16)(18)

12x=288

Dividing both sides by 12 we get

x=24.

The second longest side of quadrilateral EFGH is 24 ft.

PLEASE HELP!
leva [86]

Answer:

B. 56°

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that m∠R is 66° and m∠T is 122°.

We can apply the supplementary rule since ∠S and ∠T are a linear pair. So, we can use ∠T to find ∠S through 180° - 122° = 58°.

Now, we can use ∠R and ∠S to find ∠Q.

66° + 58° = 124°

180° - 124° = 56°
