Graphic imageA graph titled 'Changes in Employment, by Industry' is shown. Beneath the graph, the source is identified as the St

atistical Abstract of the United States. The horizontal axis is labeled 'Year'. This axis begins at 1986 and has markings at 1996 and 2006, which is marked with an asterisk. Below the graph, an asterisk appears with the label 'Projected'. The vertical axis is labelled 'Number of employees (in millions)'. This axis begins at zeros and extends to 120 with markings on the axis at multiples of 30. A dark grey horizontal line passes through lighter grey dots corresponding to the years 1986, 1996, and 2006. Each of the dots is positioned slightly below the 30. A label attached to this horizontal line reads 'Goods-producing'. A second set of points for each of the years are similarly connected. For these points, the dot for the year 1986 appears between 60 and 90, slightly closer to 60, on the vertical axis. The dot representing 1996 appears just above 90, and the 2006 value appears between 90 and 120, slightly closer to 120. These connected points are labeled 'Service-producing'.

}{y}[/tex]Answer:

For part A) The <u>entire 2019 is deductible.</u>

For part B) $9,075

Explanation:

FOR PARTE A) we know the equation is:

\frac{24,200}{y} number of months where y is 12 (which means the entire year) and the number of months will be also 12. So the equation will be:

\frac{24,200}{12} 12 and the answer will be 24,200 which means the entire year is deductible.

FOR B) the equation to be used  will be replaced by 24 (two years) and the number of month will be 9.

so the equation is:

\frac{24,200}{24} 9

the answer wil be $9,075

The following information is available regarding the total manufacturing overhead of Molsen Company for a recent four-month peri
Sonja [21]

Answer:

$198,000

Explanation:

Calculation to determine what the total manufacturing overhead estimated for August is

First step is to calculate the Variable element

Variable element=($198,000 - $153,000)/(110,000 - 80,000)

Variable element=$45,000/30,000

Variable element= $1.50

Second step is to calculate the Fixed element

Fixed element=$198,000 - ($1.50 x 110,000)

Fixed element=$198,000-$165,000

Fixed element = $33,000

Now let compute total manufacturing overhead

Total manufacturing overhead=$33,000 + ($1.50 x 110,000)

Total manufacturing overhead=$33,000+$165,000

Total manufacturing overhead= $198,000

Therefore Using the high-low method, compute total manufacturing overhead estimated for August is $198,000
