The DNA sequence is the RNA. Its sequence becomes a sequence of Amino Acids. Mutation happens when there is a change in DNA, inserted or removed nucleotides that in effect creates mutation because of incorrect protein.

The genetic code makes it all happen as it groups amino acids in proteins.

Which Properties Of Water Contribute To The Formation Of The Meniscus? Select All That Apply. Check All That Apply High Heat Of
Vladimir79 [104]

The properties of water that contribute To The formation of the meniscus are:

  • cohesion and
  • adhesion

Meniscus is defined as the upward or downward curve located at the surface of a liquid in a tube.

When water is placed in a tube or wettable container, a concave or downward meniscus is formed due to surface tension created in water through the following properties of water:

  • Cohesion: This is the tendency of water molecules to stick to itself.

  • Adhesion: This is the tendency of water molecules to stick to other molecules that are charged or polar.

Therefore, the cohesion and adhesion of water molecules contributes to the formation of meniscus.

Fully explain how cellular respiration is a chemical process whereby the bonds of food molecules and oxygen molecules are broken
Marianna [84]
Cellular respiration is a metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose and produces ATP. The stages of cellular respiration include glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, the citric acid or Krebs cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation.

During cellular respiration, a glucose molecule is gradually broken down into carbon dioxide and water. Along the way, some ATP is produced directly in the reactions that transform glucose. Much more ATP, however, is produced later in a process called oxidative phosphorylation. Oxidative phosphorylation is powered by the movement of electrons through the electron transport chain, a series of proteins embedded in the inner membrane of the mitochondrion.
These electrons come originally from glucose and are shuttled to the electron transport chain when they gain electrons.

As electrons move down the chain, energy is released and used to pump protons out of the matrix, forming a gradient. Protons flow back into the matrix through an enzyme called ATP synthase, making ATP. At the end of the electron transport chain, oxygen accepts electrons and takes up protons to form water. Glycolysis can take place without oxygen in a process called fermentation. The other three stages of cellular respiration—pyruvate oxidation, the citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation—require oxygen in order to occur. Only oxidative phosphorylation uses oxygen directly, but the other two stages can't run without oxidative phosphorylation.). What are DRIs and why are they preferred? Why are they not on food labels?
Pie

DRIs is the general term for a set of reference values or guidelines that are used to plan and asses nutrient intakes of healthy people. These values which vary by age and gender include:

- Recommended Dietary allowance (RDA): average daily level of intake sufficient to meet nutrient requirements of about 97 - 98% of healthy people.

-Adequate intake (AI): established when evidence is not sufficient to develop an RDA and is set at a level assumed to ensure nutritional adequacy.

- Tolerable Upper Intake (UL): Maximum daily intake unlikely to cause adverse health  effects.

DRIs are not necessarily found on labels because there is no law requiring that they must be placed there.
