Hello,

f(x)=12x²-8x

f(-1/2)=12*(-1/2)²-8*(-1/2)=12*1/4 +4=3+4=7

An ordered pair is (x, y). x is the independent variable, and y is the dependent variable. y is the dependent variable because it is is dependent on the value of x.

f(x) is the same as y.

If the independent variable is -1/2 then that means the value of x is -1/2

So far we know

(-1/2, y)

That means we plug in x = -1/2 and solve for y

<span>f(x)= 12x² - 8x
</span>f(-1/2) = 12(-1/2)^2 - 8(-1/2)
f(-1/2) = 12(1/4) - 8(-1/2)
f(-1/2) = 3 - (-4)
f(-1/2) = 3 + 4
f(-1/2) = 7

The dependent variable is 7.

The ordered pair is (-1/2, 7)

Your final answer is B.

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation: y = -\frac{2x^2}{21} + \frac{8x}{21} + \frac{43}{7}

Slope-intercept form: y = \frac{2}{3} x + 1

Point slope form: y + 5 = \frac{10}{7} * (x+9)

How does changing the function from f(x) = −5 cos 2x to g(x) = −5 cos 2x − 3 affect the range of the function?
Alla [95]
The graph has been moved 3 units downward, making the range change. The range of f(x) is [-5,5], while the range of g(x) is [-8,2]. The picture is of both functions. f(x) is blue, g(x) is red.
