The characteristics of a ballad that this stanza has, in my opinion, is B) there is a regular rhythm and rhyme scheme.
A and D aren't correct because there are no metaphor, alliteration, or similes, and C is incorrect because this person is human.

in this case, BECAUSE electricians were unionized. As a consequence, it was hard to find a job.
