The following is missing for the question to be complete:

diathesis-stress

biological

gene-environment correlation model

interpersonal

Answer: Diathesis-Stress model

Explanation: This model is, in fact, a psychological theory that deals with a particular mental disorder and its aftermath by observing certain innate predispositions that make one susceptible to stress in combination with experienced trauma that heightens the propensity to stress. The word diathesis itself indicates a sensibility for something, a propensity for something, or simply a predisposition. Mental disorder occurs because of the predisposition to something like that with stressful life situations that can accelerate the disorder. It should be emphasised that the predisposition to a particular disorder does not refer only to the mental disorders but to the physical disorders, although this term is most commonly associated with mental disorders such as schizophrenia and depression. It is important to notice this disorder in children, i.e whether they have an inherent tendency for a disorder. Depending on the level of inherited propensity for a particular disorder, it also depends on the level of experiencing a life stressful situation that will accelerate the disorder. In other words, if a person has a high vulnerability to a disorder, they need a low level of stress, which is the trigger of the disorder and vice versa.

dem82 [27]
A slow change such as continents moving will create differences in ecosystems. This is also the same effect caused by a rapid change such a meteorite striking earth. These two phenomena will create diversity and different living conditions. The slow change however, will give organisms time to adopt giving them a good chance of survival unlike a rapid change which will give most, if not all, organisms little chance to survive.

1) Based on the map which of these appears to be MOST true?
Mrac [35]
  • The most true statement is that D) Shia Muslims appear to be the minority group within Islam.

  • The best explanation for the split between Sunni and Shia is that it was over D) A disagreement over the leadership of the Islamic world after the death of the prophet Muhammad.

The map is not included but it is accurate that the Shia are a minority in Islam because:

  • Sunnis comprise 87% - 90% of all Muslims
  • Shia comprise 10% - 13% of all Muslims

The Shia are therefore heavily outnumbered by the Sunni who have used their dominant position to occasionally marginalize the Shia.

The reason the Shia and the Sunni split was because they could not agree on who would lead the Muslims after the Prophet Muhammed died. Sunni wanted a man named Abu Bakr to lead and the Shia wanted Ali ibn Abi Ṭalib.

In conclusion, Islam has two main denominations which are the Sunni and the Shia but the Sunni outnumber of Shia who had split from the Sunni because they could not accept their choice for Muhammed's successor.
