Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin instead it is a hormone. The skin cells are responsible for the synthesis of this hormone. It is sensitive the UV radiations from sun and provides protection to the skin. Aging, excess melanin and sunscreen diminishes the capacity of the skin cells to produce Vitamin D.

Hence, the given statement is false as with the age Vitamin D production will decrease.
