Read this passage from chapter 22 of The Prince.

But to enable a prince to form an opinion of his servant there is one test which never fails; when you see the servant thinking more of his own interests than of yours, and seeking inwardly his own profit in everything, such a man will never make a good servant, nor will you ever be able to trust him; because he who has the state of another in his hands ought never to think of himself, but always of his prince, and never pay any attention to matters in which the prince is not concerned.

Which statement best summarizes the central idea of this excerpt?

One must know the process of hiring servants.

It is important to always honor one's servants.

It is necessary to choose trustworthy servants.

The intelligence of servants must be considered.

Answer:

One must know the process of hiring servants.

Explanation:

The best summary to the central idea of the excerpt is that one must know the process of hiring servants.

<em>"when you see the servant thinking more of his own interests than of yours, and seeking inwardly his own profit in everything, such a man will never make a good servant" </em>

From the above quote, we can see that the prince is advised on the process of hiring a servant. He is told to look out for sings that would disqualify one from being selected as a servant. He mentioned that if the person thinks about himself and interest, more than that of the prince, then he should not be hired.

Can someone proofread my conclusion paragraph about if I disagree or agree with football being too dangerous? If you see anythin
algol [13]
Instead of that why not say something like

High schoolers have been warned about the dangers of football but even so it’s something that everyone knows of and enjoys whether it’s watching or playing. Football has some moments where it can get unsafe but it’s nothing too dangerous to stop the sport. If football was a safer sport it would take away from the uniqueness that football is. Its a sport that has danger to make it enjoyable and that makes it a good sport. Of course not every sport has to have some action that can be unsafe to be enjoyable, but the slightest of danger is exactly what makes football a game that will be here forever. I believe that parents should sign their children up for football since it’s considered a unique and fun sport. I disagree that football is too dangerous to the point where it needs to become safer.

I hope this helped :)

Compare the dictionary and thesaurus entriestor the word compliment.
irinina [24]

Answer:

Parts of speech.

Explanation:

As seen in the question, the dictionary entry contains the pronunciation, the origin of the word, and the parts of speech it represents/ belongs to.

Whereas, the thesaurus entry only points out the parts of speech it belongs to and the synonyms and the antonyms of the said word.

Looking at the two entries, the only thing they have in common is the parts of speech that are provided alongside the word.

Thus, the <u>correct answer is the fourth option.</u>
