The given statement is false.  

Cytoplasm is usually the substance, which occupies the cell. It is generally a jelly-like fluid, which is about 80 percent water and is usually clear in color. The organelles present inside the cytoplasm do not comprise any of the genetic material of the cell, as all of that is present primarily within the nucleus.  

The organelles within the cytoplasm are very essential for the sustenance of the cell. The essential organelles, which the cytoplasm comprises are the mitochondria, ribosomes, proteins, lysosomes, the endoplasmic reticulum, and the Golgi apparatus.
