2x^2-3x+1=0\\\\2x^2-2x-x+1=0\\\\2x(x-1)-1(x-1)=0\\\\(x-1)(2x-1)=0\iff x-1=0\ \vee\ 2x-1=0\ \ \ \ |+1\\\\x=1\ \vee\ 2x=1\ \ \ |:2\\\\\boxed{x=1\ \vee\ x=0.5}

Solve each equation for y (get into slope-intercept/y=mx + b form):
Gwar [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to do this we need to isolate y by performing the inverse operations on the other values like so...

a)   10x + 5y = 20   ... subtract 10x on both sides

     5y = 20 - 10x    ... divide both sides by 5

       y = 4 - 2x   ... we can move the 2x to the right to make it into y = mx + b

       y = -2x + 4

b)   3x - 2y = 10 + 4x   ... subtract 3x on both sides

      -2y = 10 + x    ... divide both sides by -2

       y = -5 - 0.5x ... move -0.5 to the left so it matches y = mx + b

      y = -0.5x - 5

Find the surface are of the cylinder in terms of pi
Andrej [43]
Hello!

To find the surface area of a cylinder you use the equation

SA = 2 \pi rh + 2 \pi  r^{2}

SA is surface area
r is radius
h is height

PUt in the values you know

SA = 2 \pi (7)(18) + 2 \pi  * 7^{2}

Square the number

SA = 2 \pi (7)(18) + 2 \pi * 49

Multiply 7 and 18

SA = 2 \pi * 126 + 2 \pi  * 49

Multiply 126 by 2

SA = 252 \pi  + 2 \pi  * 49

Multiply the 49 by 2

SA = 252 \pi  + 98 \pi

Add

SA = 350 \pi

The answer is A)350 \pi cm^{2}

Hope this helps!
