Answer:

Here is a 501 words essay on "What is Life?"

What is life? It’s a question that everyone wonders at some point. Well, to me life is a canvas and a painting, an opportunity, life is a metaphor. Life is yours and its beautiful!

To me, life is a canvas. When you are born, the canvas just came out of the wrapping and is clean waiting for the artist to paint a beautiful picture. Life is a canvas because you are the paint brush. The first year of your life you are painting the structure or the base if the painting. Life is a canvas because you have two options is you mess up. You can take it and turn it into something beautiful, or you can scrap it and start something completely new. All your moods the colors. Life is different for everyone. Just like a painting is never the same. You may have some copy cats but their life is different from yours. Your life is precious, so value it. A drawing is different form every other drawing. If someone tried to copy a drawing it will be different from the original just like life. That is why I think life is a canvas and a painting.

Life is full of opportunities. Bad and good. Being born into this world is an opportunity itself. It’s an opportunity to change the world, to do something great, to make something great! Life is full of opportunities. I hope you take all the opportunities that you can get. You may not believe in yourself but other people do. All it takes is one person to change the world for the better. Opportunities pass people by every day and they don’t take them seriously. It’s kind of like saying that you don’t take life seriously. You could pass up an opportunity to go to a different country simply because you weren’t caring enough. Life is opportunity. Opportunity to start over again and again, fix your mistakes, make them right and teach other from what you have learned. Life is an opportunity.

Last but not least, life is a BIG metaphor. You got to be the one who fuels the fountain not create the drain. You got to be the one to create the rainbow not bring the clouds to cover it up. You have to be the one to make others smile and not cry. I guess what I’m trying to say is that you have got to be the good in the moments of bad, the uplifted in the moments of despair, the listener in moments when people need to talk. Life is just a big metaphor waiting for you to do the right thing.

I guess the point of this essay is that life is what you make of it. Life is full of twists and turns. Take them with pride and wear them on your sleeve. Life is your own to create. So, do whatever you can to create a good life, because this may the only one you get.

Life is the aspect of existence that processes, acts, reacts, evaluates, and evolves through growth (reproduction and metabolism). The crucial difference between life and non-life (or non-living things) is that life uses energy for physical and conscious development. Life is anything that grows and eventually dies, i.e., ceases to proliferate and be cognizant. Can we say that viruses, for example, are cognizant? Yes, insofar as they react to stimuli; but they are alive essentially because they reproduce and grow. Computers are non-living because even though they can cognize, they do not develop biologically (grow), and cannot produce offspring. It is not cognition that determines life, then: it is rather proliferation and maturation towards a state of death; and death occurs only to living substances.

Or is the question, ‘What is the meaning (purpose) of life?’ That’s a real tough one. But I think that the meaning of life is the ideals we impose upon it, what we demand of it. I’ve come to reaffirm my Boy Scout motto, give or take a few words, that the meaning of life is to: Do good, Be Good, but also to Receive Good. The foggy term in this advice, of course, is ‘good’; but I leave that to the intuitive powers that we all share.

There are, of course, many intuitively clear examples of Doing Good: by retrieving a crying baby from a dumpster; by trying to rescue someone who’s drowning. Most of us would avoid murdering; and most of us would refrain from other acts we find intuitively wrong. So our natural intuitions determine the meaning of life for us; and it seems for other species as well, for those intuitions resonate through much of life and give it its purpose.

The typical person has the time and financial resources for how many children?
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

I would say 2-3 children

Explanation:

Since the average cost per child from birth to 18yrs is approximately $233,000, I would estimate that two working class people could raise 2-3 kids. However, you must take in account that the cost of raising a child increases in urban ares and decreases in rural/ suburban areas.

Hope this helps you!
