Mia has $20 dollars less than Brandi. Brandi has d dollars.

$20 less than d = Subtract 20 from d

20 less than d = d - $20

Your answer is d - $20

How to solve ten bags of sugar weighs 1 kilogram how my grams does each bag weigh
WARRIOR [948]
There is 1000 grams in 1 kilogram. so. 100 grams if 10 bags = 1kilogram then 1 bag would be 1/10 of a kilogram. so 1/10 of 1000 = 100.

A culture of bacteria has an initial population of 650 bacteria and doubles every 9 hours. Using the formula Pt=P0⋅2tdP_t = P_0\
Ghella [55]
So is doubling, first off, meaning, if the current amount say P, then when it doubles is 2P, or double that, or P + P, so the rate of growth is 100%, since it's doubling.

and is doing it every 9 hour cycle, thus

\bf \textit{Periodic/Cyclical Exponential Growth}\\\\
A=P(1 + r)^{\frac{t}{c}}\qquad
\begin{cases}
A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\
P=\textit{initial amount}\to &650\\
r=rate\to 100\%\to \frac{100}{100}\to &1.00\\
t=\textit{elapsed time}\to &10\\
c=period\to &9
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
A=650(1 + 1)^{\frac{10}{9}}\implies A=650(2)^{\frac{10}{9}}\implies A=650\sqrt[9]{2^{10}}

Could someone explain this to me?
Ilya [14]
This is a simple differentiation problem. Let's start by taking the derivative of both sides (with respect to x):
5y^4\frac{dy}{dx}+6y^2x+6x^2y\frac{dy}{dx}+20x^3 = 0

Simplify:
\frac{dy}{dx} (5y^4+6x^2y) + 6y^2x+20x^3 = 0

Solve for dy/dx:
\frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{-6y^2x-20x^3}{5y^4+6x^2y}

Now, plug in the given points:
\frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{-6(2)^2(-1)-20(-1)^3}{5(2)^4+6(-1)^2(2)} = \frac{24+20}{80+12}

Further simplification gives:
\frac{dy}{dx}|_{(2,-1)} =\frac{44}{92} = \frac{11}{23}

So, your answer is 11/23 or B.

Why is it important to know how to interpret a remainder?
tino4ka555 [31]
I'm thinking if you are dividing an odd number you might have a remainder it's important because you need to use the remainder, you can ignore it or add it to the number, interpreting numbers means you are trying to find out what you do with the remainder but I'm not always right.
