Answer:

a) Perimeter = 20.5 Inches

   Area is 15 Sq Inches

b) Perimeter is 61.4 Cms

    Area is 210 Sq cm

c) Perimeter is 22 yards

   Area is 21 Sq Yards

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Perimeter = sum of all the sides

= 8+7.5+5

=20.5

Perimeter = 20.5 Inches

Area of Triangle =\frac{1}{2} \times height \times Base

Base = 7.5 In

Height = 4 In

A = \frac{1}{2} \times 4 \times 7.5

A = 2 \times 7.5

A = 15

Hence Area is 15 Sq Inches

b)  Perimeter = Sum of all the sides

P=13+23+13.4+12

P=61.4

Perimeter is 61.4 Cms

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} \times height  \times (sum \ of \ parallel \ sides)

A= \frac{1}{2} \times 12 \times (12+23)

A= 6 \times 25

A=210

Area is 210 Sq cm

c) Perimeter = Sum of all the sides

P = 7+4+7+4 ( as Opposite sides are equal in a parallelogram

P = 22

Perimeter is 22 yards

Area of a parallelogram = base \times height

A= 7 \times 3

A = 21

Area is 21 Sq Yards

Help! This is due today and I'm stuck on this problem.
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

280.6 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>find the length of each side:</u>

you're only given h = 9 m

the formula for h is  h=\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} *a, where a is a side length of the hexagon

plug h in:

9=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}*a\\\\a=9*\frac{2}{\sqrt{3}}\\\\

a ≈ 10.392 m

<u>now find the area of a triangle:</u>

1/2 (10.392)(9) = 46.764 m^2

multiply that by 6 and you get 280.584 ≈ 280.6 m^2

you can also use the regular hexagon area formula instead of finding the individual area and multiplying by 6: \frac{3\sqrt{3} }{2} *a^2

Bill booked a ride to the airport. If it rains, the traffic will be bad and the probability that he will miss his flight is 0.06
kvasek [131]

Answer:0.614

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Probability he will miss flight if it rains=0.06

Probability he will miss flight it does not rain=0.01

Given the probability of rain=0.21

Therefore Probability that it will not rain=1-0.21=0.79

Probability that he will miss the flight =0.21\times 0.06+0.79\times 0.01=0.0205

P(actual raining and he missed the flight| he miss the flight)=\frac{0.21\times 0.06}{0.21\times 0.06+0.79\times 0.01}

=\frac{0.0126}{0.0205}=0.614
