She was bored with the play

what is the prepositional phrase
kondor19780726 [428]

The prepositional phrase is “with the play”.

This is because a prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and is not essential in creating a complete sentence; instead it adds details.

With is a preposition, so with the play is a prepositional phrase. “She was bored” is still a meaningful sentence without the prepositional phrase, so we know that our answer is correct.

Hope this helps!

If this is an excerpt from a story, I wouldn’t be of much help. But from a layman's perspective, it seems like the character is attempting to please the failed humorist or he or she would have been frank. This in turn may have triggered a chain reaction, prompting the humorist to continue with his jokes which would have further affected the character. He or she is also giving the former a false sense of happiness and appreciation.
This passage may not affect the whole story in a remarkably discernible manner, but it definitely proves the character's penchant for politeness. And that may be be a deciding factor in his or her further decisions that ultimately define the plot of the story.

Answer 10,11,12 please i’m putting in 20 points and will mark brainliest for all 3
Zolol [24]

Answer:

10- Oxymoron

The words "safety" and "hazard" are right by each other and those are complete opposites so that is an oxymoron.

11- alliteration

The use of the b's at the beginning of a lot of the words is alliteration because it is the repetition of a similar sound at the beginning of the word. The only other one that it could be is consonance because consonance also repeats a sound, but only consonants and it is usually at the end of the word. Even though b is a consonant, I don't think it is consonance because the repetition appears at the beginning of the word.

12- Anaphora

This is anaphora because the word "singing" is being repeated in most of the clauses in order to place emphasis on it.

Read the excerpt from "Children of the Drug Wars.”
Inessa05 [86]

These two excerpts talk about the terrible problems people in Central America are living day in and day out. Violence, crime and corruption are common in that part of the world. The right answer is letter B. They both describe situations in which people are expected to commit crimes or face violence.
