Alexa and Josephine are debating the phenotype of the offspring. Alexa think that all of the offspring are going to have red flo

wers. Josephine thinks that it is not possible for the offspring to have red flowers because they all have one "r" allele

In this Josephine is correct. While red will most commonly occur, if the 'r' is there then under Mendel's rules, a 3 to 1 ratio will appear. Ie for ever 3 red flowers, one flower will be the other colour.
