It would actually be 891 because the product is 2 numbers multiplied. The largest 2 digit is 99 and largest 1 digit is 9 so 99 times 8 is 891

Well, the greatest 2 digit number is 99, and the greatest 1 digit number is 9, so the awnser would be 108. Hope his helps.

Find the missing length. The triangles in each pair are similar?
larisa [96]

Answer:

The length of the missing side is 117 :)

Step-by-step explanation:

I set up a proportion using sides NM, LD, LN, and DC :

182/28 = x/18

182(18) = 28x

3276 = 28x

3276/28 = 28x/28

x = 117

The radius of a car wheel is 12 inches. How far will the car travel and 15 revolutions of the wheel?
viktelen [127]
R = 12 inches, the radius of the wheel.

The circumference of the wheel is
2πr = 2π(12) = 24π inches.

WHen the wheel makes 15 revolutions, the car will travel 15 times the circumference, which is
15*(24π) = 360π inches = 1131 inches.

Answer: 1131 inches

Through: (-3,2) and (0, -3)
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

y = -5/3x - 3

Assuming this is a linear function

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Use (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) to find the slope of the equation, assuming it is a linear function.

(-3-2)/(0+3) = -5/3 <--- slope

2. The y-intercept is going to be the (0, -3) point, since the point is directly on the y-axis.

3. Put both of those values into the new equation

y = -5/3x - 3

the line joining A(a, 3) to B(2 -3) is perpendicular to the line joining C(10,1) to B. The value of a is?
RideAnS [48]
Well, first off, let's find what is the slope of BC

\bf \begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
% (a,b)
B&({{ 2}}\quad ,&{{ -3}})\quad
% (c,d)
C&({{ 10}}\quad ,&{{ 1}})
\end{array}
\\\\\\
% slope = m
slope = {{ m}}= \cfrac{rise}{run} \implies
\cfrac{{{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}}}{{{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}}}\implies \cfrac{1-(-3)}{10-2}\implies \cfrac{1+3}{10-2}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{4}{8}\implies \cfrac{1}{2}

now, a line perpendicular to that one, will have a negative reciprocal slope, thus

\bf \textit{perpendicular, negative-reciprocal slope for slope}\quad \cfrac{1}{2}\\\\
slope=\cfrac{1}{{{ 2}}}\qquad negative\implies -\cfrac{1}{{{ 2}}}\qquad reciprocal\implies - \cfrac{{{ 2}}}{1}\implies \boxed{-2}

now, we know the slope "m" of AB is -2 then, thus

\bf \begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
% (a,b)
A&({{ a}}\quad ,&{{ 3}})\quad
% (c,d)
B&({{ 2}}\quad ,&{{ -3}})
\end{array}
\\\\\\
% slope = m
slope = {{ m}}= \cfrac{rise}{run} \implies
\cfrac{{{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}}}{{{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}}}\implies \cfrac{-3-3}{2-a}=\boxed{-2}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{-6}{2-a}=-2\implies -6=-4+2a\implies -2=2a\implies \cfrac{-2}{2}=a
\\\\\\
-1=a
