How is dopamine related to "pleasure seeking behavior"?

Biology

The function of dopamine may be “turned down” due to genetic reasons so the person seeks things that are more extreme or intense so they can feel a “buzz”.. they simply seek more cuz they don’t feel it pleasures them enough as to it would another person.

For example someone that can get drunk wit 3 shots vs someones who dopamine receptors may be blunted needs 6 shots... so basically there is something biochemically that makes us crave pleasure more.

Answer:

The dopamine motivates us, increasing our energy and drive and compelling us to engage in the pleasurable activity. If everything is as nice as the brain predicted, dopamine levels remain elevated. If things turn out even better than the brain hoped, dopamine levels are increased; we engage in the pleasurable activity even more vigorously. If, on the other hand, the activity is less pleasurable than we thought it would be, dopamine levels plummet.

What is an experimental design and annotated bibliographies? And what’s a good environmental science experiment? I know it’s a d
den301095 [7]

Answer:

Experimental design means planning a set of procedures to investigate a relationship between variables, or experimental design refers to how participants are allocated to the different groups in an experiment. The types of design include repeated-measures, independent-groups, and matched pairs design.

Annotated bibliography provides specific information about each source you've used. As a researcher you have become an expert on your topic: you have the ability to explain the content of your sources, assess the usefulness, and share this information with others who may be less familiar with them.

Annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles and documents.

Good environmental science experiments are;

1.Water science fair projects.

2. Air quality Science fair projects

3. Climate change Science fair projects

4. Solid waste recycling Science fair projects.

Which statements describe transform boundaries? A) Rift valleys are formed. B) Mountains are created. C) Faults form in the lith
torisob [31]

Answer:

C) Faults form in the lithosphere.

Explanation:

Faults form in lithosphere is part of transform boundaries because the plates simply slide past each other without causing any change to the lithosphere (i.e it is neither created nor destroyed) which is why transform boundaries are also sometimes referenced when we speak about phenomena related to when plates slide in opposite directions.

The sentence a Venus flytrap closes its leaves when its trigger hairs are stimulated is the best example of a living thing responding to its environment (option B).

What does characterize living organisms?

The main characteristics of living organisms refer to features shared by different life forms, which are essential to sustaining life, i.e. their metabolic activities in order to perpetuate across time.

One of the main characteristics that sustain life is the ability to respond to environmental stimuli. In this regard, it has been debated if this feature is the main characteristic that sustains life, but detractors of this idea state that it is not the main feature because viruses are able to respond to stimuli and they are not alive.

Therefore, with this data, we can see that the ability to respond to stimuli is one of the main features of living organisms.
