Which word in this sentence is an example of an abstract noun?

English

Butoxors [25]3 years ago

This question is wrong, because there are in fact four abstract nouns in this sentence, two of which can be found among your options. An abstract noun is something that you cannot touch, because it doesn't have a form - those are words such as love, hatred, happiness, etc. So, here, among these examples, abstract nouns are both A. justice, and D. pursuit. However, if you only have to choose one, I'd go with A. justice, because I believe that is what your teacher wants you to pick. B. is a verb, and C. is a proper noun, not an abstract one.

AURORKA [14]

Well, it kind of depends what you're advertising for. Here are some of the ones that came up to the top of my head when I thought "commercial".

"Buy now!"

"Parts sold separately."

"Vote ______!"

"_______ is not responsible for any tragedies."

"Consult with your doctor before taking ________."

"*name of the product, and then catchy slogan*"

The title of Ray Bradbury's "All Summer in a Day" is hyperbole. ... Bradbury says that the storms were "so heavy they were tidal waves come over the islands," a situation which sounds impossible to survive if it were literally true. Personification"... the sun came out for an hour and showed it's face to the stunned world..."
