To solve this problem we will use the concepts related to angular motion equations. Therefore we will have that the angular acceleration will be equivalent to the change in the angular velocity per unit of time.

Later we will use the relationship between linear velocity, radius and angular velocity to find said angular velocity and use it in the mathematical expression of angular acceleration.

The average angular acceleration

\alpha = \frac{\omega_f - \omega_0}{t}

Here

\alpha = Angular acceleration

\omega_{f,i} = Initial and final angular velocity

There is not initial angular velocity,then

\alpha = \frac{\omega_f}{t}

We know that the relation between the tangential velocity with the angular velocity is given by,

v = r\omega

Here,

r = Radius

\omega = Angular velocity,

Rearranging to find the angular velocity

\omega = \frac{v}{r}}

\omega = \frac{30}{0.20} \rightarrow Remember that the radius is half te diameter.

Now replacing this expression at the first equation we have,

\alpha = \frac{30}{0.20*6}

\alpha = 25 rad /s^2

Therefore teh average angular acceleration of each wheel is 25rad/s^2

Which is not experiencing acceleration?
bezimeni [28]

The correct answer to the question will be D. a skydiver whose air resistance is equal to that of her weight.

EXPLANATION:

As per the first option, the point is situated outside of the spinning top whose rotational speed is constant. When a body moves in a circular path, its direction is always changed which produces an acceleration. The point present outside of the spinning top moves in a circular path. Hence, it experiences an acceleration.

As per the second option, the car on the freeway is experiencing a net force of -120 N. Here, the car experiences  negative acceleration which opposes the motion.

As per the third option, a submerged beach ball whose buoyant force is eight times the force of gravity. Hence, there is net force on the submerged beach ball which will push the ball upward. Hence, the ball experiences an acceleration.

The third option is that the skydiver whose air resistance is equal to that of her weight. Here, the weight of the driver acts in vertical downward direction while air resistance acts in vertical upward direction. The net force acting on the driver is zero. Hence, the acceleration of the driver is zero.

Which explanation describes the forces involved for a person to walk down the sidewalk? A. The person's feet push backward on th
cluponka [151]

C. The person's feet push backward on the sidewalk; the sidewalk pushes forward on the person.

This is due to our kick back motion forced on the sidewalk when we walk, and the resistance of us walking on it createsa push forward.

Hope this helps!
