Answer:

"A liver cell synthesizes glycogen from glucose." ---> build large molecules.

"A plant cell synthesizes cellulose from glucose." ---> structural support.

"A brain cell uses the energy in glucose to synthesize ATP" obtaining energy or reserve energy.

Explanation:

Carbohydrates are classified into large groups, where the simplest are monosaccharides (ex: glucose), followed by desacarids, trisaccharides and polysaccharides as the most complex.

Carbohydrates are hydrated carbonic structures that also attract water masses, they are very useful when it comes to generating energy reserves, energy sources, structures of tissue or vegetable support, and together with proteins are one of the most fundamental components of extracellular matrices to nourish various cells, such as proteonglycans or glycoproteins.

The drug colchicine inhibits the formation of spindle fibers during mitosis. If you treat dividing plant cells with colchicine,
vekshin1

Answer:

D

Explanation:

During metaphase of cell division, the chromosomes line up in the metaphase plate and the spindle fibers from the poles extend and attach to the centromeres of the chromosomes. The spindle then contracts and pull different chromosomes to the opposite poles of the cell before the parent cell divides.   If spindle fibers do not form, then the chromosomes will not separate during anaphase.

Therefore, the final cell after mitosis will be a cell with double the number of chromosomes -because if you remember, during interphase, genetic material is replicated so each daughter cell can have its copy-. Due to quality control in the process of cell divisison, this cell will mostly undergo apoptosis, otherwise, it could develop into cancer.

14. Describe the difference between the three macroinvertebrate categories and
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

Invertebrates are the organisms in which backbone or vertebral column is absent.

The three macroinvertebrate categories are annelids, mollusks and arthropods.

Annelids are the organisms having segmented body. They are found in moist places. Examples are leeches and earth worms.

Mollusks are the organisms which are enclosed in a calcium carbonate shell. Examples are snails and slugs.

arthropods are the invertebrates which have segmented body and jointed appendages. Examples are insects and crustaceans etc.

1.Excess carbon dioxide is harmful to
Ulleksa [173]
Increased levels of CO2 make the ocean more acidic and put sea organisms in danger. ... This could mean slower growth in the world's corals reefs, which are already stressed and dying from the warmer ocean temperatures associated with increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
