Answer:

V=0.8\;\;m/s

Explanation:

Given,

Mass of first ball  m_1=1\; kg

Mass of second ball m_2=1.5\;kg

Initial speed of the first ball u_1=2\;m/s

The second ball is initially at rest. So,  by the conservation of momentum

p_i=p_f\\m_1u_1+m_2u_2=(m_1+m_2)V\\1\times2+1.5\times0=(1+1.5)V\\V=0.8\;\;m/s

Where does all of this energy come from
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer: All of our energy comes from the sun, which is our nearest star. The sun sends out huge amounts of energy through its rays every day. We call this energy solar energy or radiant energy. Without the sun, life on earth would not exist, since our planet would be totally frozen.

An athlete performing a long jump leaves the ground at a 32.9 ∘ angle and lands 7.78 m away.part a )what was the takeoff speed ?
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Inclination \theta =32.9^{\circ}

Distance of landing point R=7.78\ m

Considering athlete to be an Projectile

range of projectile is given by

R=\frac{u^2\sin 2\theta }{g}

where u=launch velocity

7.78=\frac{u^2\sin (2\times 32.9)}{9.8}

u^2=83.58

u=\sqrt{83.58}

u=9.142\ m/s

(b)If u is increased by 8% then

new velocity is u'=9.87\ m/s

R'=\frac{u'^2\sin 2\theta }{g}

R'=9.07\ m

Algal blooms, and the rapid proliferation of photosynthetic plankton can ultimately end up depleting all the oxygen from a body
Irina18 [472]

Answer: The given statement is True.

The proliferation of photosynthetic planktons results in harmful algal blooms. Due to this, the surface of the water body gets completely covered with algal bloom. This blocks the sunlight as it can not penetrate the water. Due to this, photosynthetic planktons are no more able to perform photosynthesis. This ultimately ends up depleting all oxygen from the body of water.

Thus, the given statement is true.

Warm air rising at the equator and cold air sinking at the poles is one reason for which type of movement of air?
inysia [295]

Answer:

Convection cells

Explanation:

As the cold air moves away from poles, it begins to warm up. This warm air now becomes lighter and the pressure drops significantly at 60° N and 60° south latitude. The air from poles further gushes into these belts because the low pressure created. Thus, convection cells are formed because this rise and fall of air in circular pattern.

Hence, the name given is convection cells.

If the specific heat of a metal is 0.850 J/g °C, what is its atomic weight?
Liula [17]

As we know that with respect to oxygen atom taken as reference the product of atomic mass and specific heat of a metal will remain constant.

this product is equal to 0.38

so here we will say that let atomic mass of the metal is M

so with respect to oxygen atom its mass is given as

m = \frac{M}{16}

now we will have

\frac{M}{16} \times 0.850 = 0.38

now we will have

M = 7

so atomic mass of the metal is 7 g/mol
