How can you make a fraction into a whole number?
Assoli18 [71]
See how many times the denominator (bottom # of fraction) can go into the numerator (bottom number of fraction).

If i DOES NOT go in evenly then you will get an answer with a mixed fraction. How many times the denominator goes into the numerator is the whole number in the answer, then the remainder is the new numerator and you keep the same denominator.

1. Use Excel to answer the following. In each question, find the blank to make the statement true. Note that Z represents we are
Sati [7]

Answer:

1. A: 0.25; B: 0.03; C: 1.41; D: -0.28

2. A: 0.39; B: 0.06; C: 40.30; D: 21.81

Step-by-step explanation:

For CDF lookups, we used the Excel NORMDIST(x, mean, stdev, TRUE) function. For inverse CDF lookups, we used the NORMINV(x, mean, stdev) function.

Each of these functions works with the area under the curve from -∞ to x, so for cases where we're interested in the upper tail, we subtract the probability from 1, or subtract the x value from twice the mean.

For question 1, we computed the Z values in each case. The NORMDIST function works directly with x, mean, and standard deviation, so does not need the z value.

Substitution method <br><br> x-7y=-9<br> -x+8y=10
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

x = -2, y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

x-7y=-9---------------------equation 1

-x+8y=10-------------------equation 2

From equation 1, make x the subject of formula

x=7y-9----------------------equation 3

substituting x=7y-9 in equation 2,

-(7y-9)+8y=10

Expanding bracket

-7y+9+8y=10

Collecting like terms

8y-7y=10-9

y=1

substituting y=1 in 3

x=7(1)-9

x=7-9

x=-2

Solve the equations below for x. Please show your math work step by step.
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

x = 14 and x = - 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Not that + (- ) = -

(a)

x + (- 4) = 10, that is

x - 4 = 10 ( add 4 to both sides )

x = 14

(b)

2x - 10 = - 24 ( add 10 to both sides )

2x = - 14 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = - 7

PLS HELP MEEE PICTURE BELOW
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

h = 3.6

Step-by-step explanation:

This is just substituting in for variables and solving for x. The hard part is knowing the formula.

R = h((a+b)/2) where a and b are the 2 different bases, h is the height or latitude, and R is the area of a trapezoid, is the formula.

Given that R = 8.1, a = 1 and b = 3.5, we can substitute these equations in the formula.

(8.1) = h(((1) + (3.5)) / 2)

= h((4.5) / 2)

= h(2.25)

8.1/2.25 = h

3.6 = h
