Brand X sells 21 oz. Bags of mixed nuts that contain 29% peanuts. To make their product they combine brand A mixed nuts which co
masha68 [24]

Answer:

Brand X has to mix 8.4 oz of brand A mixed nuts which contain 35% peanuts and 12.6 oz of brand B mixed nuts which contain 25%, to obtain 21 oz. Bags of mixed nuts that contain 29% peanuts.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi

We define

B_{A}=1oz @ 35\%, wich means Brand A has 1 oz containing 35% peanuts.

B_{B}=1oz @ 25\%, wich means Brand b has 1 oz containing 25% peanuts.

So we can build an equiation system

(1) B_{a}+B_{b}=21

(2)0.35 \times B_{a}+0.25 \times B_{b}=0.29 \times 21, after fixing it a little

(2)0.35B_{a}+0.25B_{b}=6.09

As we can use any method to solve the system, I used a calculator wich thrown the following results B_{a}=8.4 \ oz and B_{b}=12.6 \ oz.

Why does multiplying by 10 shift each digit one place to left
lesya692 [45]

Multiplying by 10 can be thought of as just adding a 0 to the right end of a number. If you have 2 and multiply it by 10, you get 20. For 1,234, you get 12,340. If you have 98,765, you can 987,650. Same thing applies for 100, 1000, 10000, ...., and so on. It moves it over depending on the number of 0's there are in the number. If it is 100, it will move two 0's over. For example, if you multiply 45 by 100, you get 4,500. The two zeros from 100 moved to the right side of the 45 to get 4500.

The bids in an online auction are represented by the arithmetic sequence shown below. Write an explicit formula to represent the
zmey [24]

(a) The nth term of the sequence is given by A(n)=195 + (n - 1)10.

(b) The 12th term of the sequence is A(12) = 305.

What is an arithmetic sequence?

One arithmetic progression with a common difference of 2 is the sequence 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15,...

The term "finite arithmetic progression" or "arithmetic progression" refers to a limited segment of an arithmetic progression.

A mathematical sequence has the following structure: a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d, etc., up to n terms. The initial term is a, the shared distinction is d, and n is the total number of words. Find the AP, the first term, the number of terms, and the common difference for the computation using the arithmetic sequence formulae. To determine the nth term, sum, or common difference of a given arithmetic sequence, many formulae related to arithmetic series are utilized.

A(n)=195+(n-1)10

The given arithmetic sequence is 195, 205, 215, 225,.....

The first term a =195

The common difference d= 205-195

d =215-205

d =225-215

So, d = 10

(a) The nth term is given by

A(n)=a+(n-1)d

A(n)=195+(n-1)10

(b) For n=12, the 12th term is given by

A(12)=195+11(10)

A(12)=305

Therefore, A(n)=195+(n-1)10

And A(12)=305
