Why were the border states important to the North during the Civil War? A. They threatened to form their own country.
ozzi
B. They were slave states that could have joined the Confederacy.

If the border states had joined the Confederacy, it would have greatly bolstered the population as well as the army of the South. However, if the US was more lenient on the border states and allowed slavery there to a certain degree, the Border states would provide a 'buffer' zone to help protect the North from most attacks, as well as provide men for the army and factories for producing much needed supplies.

Even with a lot of troops this time, they only lost because they ran out of ammunition to supply the miltia at the 3rd wave of the battle. The British also suffered extensively loss, but not this time to the colonists.

The Battle of Trenton took place in Trenton, New Jesery in December 26, 1776. General George Washington was planning a attack on a fort, crossing the famous Delaware River. This was important because this was one of the very few battles at the time that was won by the colonists.

What weaknesses in the Articles of Confederation come to light during shays’ Rebellion?
KiRa [710]

Shay's rebellion exposed the weaknesses in the articles of confederation by exposing that the government, Congress, could not form a military or draft because the federal government did not have money due to the fact that they did not have the ability to enforce taxes upon the citizens.

Explanation:

Shay’s rebellion was started by poorer members of the society who did not agree with the new terms of the state government. The new tax scheme imposed on the individual and their trades led to Shay’s rebellion.

The Articles of Confederation was created by Second Continental Congress in United States of America. The Articles of Confederation was proposed to create the confederation and plan the structure of the new government.
