A summary is an objective review of the main points in a text. An objective summary of Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" is given below:

  • In this text, Jonathan Swift described a situation in the country where women begged with their children. He described this sight as a sad one to those who pass through the streets.
  • He mentioned that this occurrence was an added problem to their kingdom and that anyone with a viable solution to it will be rewarded hugely.
  • Finally, he hoped that the solutions to these problems will be extended to all children whose parents were unable to provide for their basic needs.

The purpose of this excerpt from Jonathan Swift was to inform people of the deplorable condition of children whose parents were unable to give the required necessities of life.

He wanted this situation addressed so that all children in the same or similar conditions, will receive help.

You might be surprised how many skills come in handy in the workplace. Many are learned during childhood, but some can only be learned through experience. Some of the main types of skills useful in the workplace are things like communication. How clearly we communicate affects the success of our presentations and our ability to collaborate with bosses and coworkers. While communication and collaboration are important, employees also need to be able to work independently with confidence. An ability to improvise often makes a difference in bad situations. Multitasking, too, is an important skill to master. You don't want to do multiple things at once all the time, but those who know how to multitask are more likely to keep their cool under stressful conditions. These are just some of the skills that help people succeed in the workplace. Don't worry if you don't have them all right now. Some spend a lifetime developing them.

Is there a connection between art and literature? Question 2 options:
Mumz [18]
I would say D.) "Yes, art often inspired authors and authors often inspire artists.

My reasoning: When I was younger, I had a boyfriend whom was a musician, I myself am an artist. Whenever I presented a new canvas to him he would tell me that it inspired him to write more songs and vice versa. His music inspired me to draw up album covers for some local bands.

Hope this helps! (:

Alex787 [66]
The correct answer for the question is B. In Kaddo's Wall, Kaddo builds the wall due to the fact he has an excess of corn, but does not want to give anything to those less fortunate than himself. Instead, he shows how superior he is, by being able to build an unnecessary wall whilst others are hungry.
