Mathematics

So the equation is 2[x + 1] = 6, right? So you’d solve it as follows:

2[x + 1] = 6

Divide both sides by 2

[x + 1] = 3

Subtract one to get x by itself

[x] = 2

If x is 2, then the absolute value of x is the absolute value of 2. The absolute value of 2 is 2 and -2

X = 2 or -2

30 pts for this one.... (only if you give a reasonable answer no BS)
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

  1. y = 3000x + 40000
  2. a) the base salary of the salesperson
  3. a) the commission per subscription

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope intercept form is found by [ y = mx + b ] where m = slope and b = y-intercept. We are given that a salesperson gets $40000 as a base salary. Since this value doesn't change it is the starting value, in other words the y-intercept. The salesperson also gets $3000 for every subscription they sell. Since this amount grows at a constant rate, that is the slope. Now, we can write the slope intercept form of [ y = 3000x + 40000 ].

Best of Luck!

3 8 of your income is spent on your monthly bills, 2 5 is spent on food and clothing and 1 10 goes on entertainment. You put the
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Fraction of saving = 1/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Spent on bills = 3/8

Spend on food = 2/5

Spend on entertainment = 1/10

Find:

Fraction of saving

Computation:

Fraction of saving = 1 - Spent on bills - Spend on food - Spend on entertainment

Fraction of saving = 1 - 3/8 - 2/5 - 1/10

By taking LCM

Fraction of saving = [40 - 15 - 16 - 4]/40

Fraction of saving = [5]/40

Fraction of saving = 1/8
