The Romans and Greeks both made contributions to modern law and government.Give 2 examples of Greek contributions AND 2 examples
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
Well, we got our political system from the Romans, they had a senate that voted on what to do with a head tribune that controlled the senate. We have a senate with a president that can do similar stuff as a tribune did. Also Romans had laws to keep the citizens in check like taxing the rich more and laying down the foundation to a civilization... For greeks I'm not to sure on we got, but for mathematics I know the greeks helped us with that like pie and other theorems also with space and stars the greeks helped us with that as well... So lots of stuff is still here from the ancient world. The most important would be the Roman contribution to their politics which has helped us run our country accordingly.

(Contextualization) There was a strong push during World War I to Americanize
IRINA_888 [86]

The Americanization of immigrants made Maus see the Mexicans as an essential point for the victory and survival of the USA.

How is this vision presented?

 • Maus asserts that the Mexican people are indispensable to American victory.
 • This is because, he recognizes that Mexicans are essential for the production of agricultural products, which automatically interferes with the economy and livelihood of the country.
 • He also states that Mexicans are efficient workers and, in addition to working in the agricultural sector, they can be used in any sector where there is a need.

In this case, Maus presents a positive view towards the Mexicans, as he recognizes that they are necessary for the national workforce.
