This is perhaps the most odd math question I have ever come across. Anyhow -

#1 - Positive, because smoking increases the chance of having lung cancer. (though technically there is not a linear relationship between the two as people do in fact receive lung cancer even when having not smoked)

#2 - No relationship. (Though one could argue a student may text more when given more free time as a consequence of having spent less time at school, but this is wholly subjective and unable to be substantiated by logic.)

#3 - Negative, due to the mass of the tootsie pop decreasing with each lick.

Of course, I am assuming when you say "positive" and "negative" you are speaking in terms of numbers or addition and subtraction rather than "positive" or "negative" socially.

Answer:

Smoking and cases of lung cancer is positive.

Amount of time spent at school each day and the number of texts sent per day is not causal

The number of licks taken and the size of the Tootsie Pop is negative.

Step-by-step explanation:

1Because as one keeps on smoking the risk of lung cancer increases.

2. Time spent at school has nothing to do with number of texts, so it's not causal.

3. The more one licks the Tootsie Pop the more it decreases.

Which equation could represent a circle with a center located at (11,-5)
Anon25 [30]
The standard equation of a circle is:

(x-h)^2-(y-k)^2=r^2 where (h,k) is the center and r is the radius.

We need to make an equation of a circle, whose center is (11,-5) with any radius. Therefore, substitute the value.

(x-h)^2-(y-k)^2=r^2 \\ (11,-5)=(h,k) \\ (x-11)^2-(y-5)^2=64

The bolded part is your answer. Since the radius is not given, we can put any value.
