Find the A.P whose second term is 12 and 7th term exceeds the 4th by 15
Art [367]

The 2nd term exists 12 and 7th term exceeds the 4th by 15 exists AP : 7,12,17,....

How to estimate the arithmetic progression?

Given : The second term exists 12th and the 7th term exceeds the 4th term by 15

The formula of the nth term :

$a_{n}=a+(n-1) d

Where d exists a common difference

n be the number of terms

a be the first term

Substitute the value of n = 2

$a_{2}=a+(2-1) d=a+d

Let, the second term exists 12

So, a + d = 12 ..........(1)

Substitute the value of n = 7

$a_{7}=a+(7-1) d=a+6 d

Substitute n = 4

$a_{4}=a+(4-1) d=a+3 d

We are given that the 7th term exceeds the 4th term by 15

So, a+6d-a-3d = 15

3d = 15

d = 5

Substitute the value of d in (1)

So, a+5 = 12

a = 12-5

a = 7

AP : a,a+d,a+2d,.... = 5, 7+5, 7+2(5),....=7,12,17,....

Therefore, AP : 7,12,17,....

Marjorie bought 24 bottles of juice. Each day she opens and drinks 2 of these bottles of juice. Which inequality represents the
Anika [276]

Answer:

2d≤24

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of bottled juice bought = 24 bottles

Amount she drank each day = 2 bottles

To get the inequality to represent greatest number of days she can continue before she has to replenish her stock, we will say;

1 day = 2 bottles

d days = 24 bottles

Cross multiply

2 * d = 1 * 24

2d = 24

Since we want to know the greatest number of days she can continue before she has to replenish her stock, the equal to to sign will be replaced with less than or equal to sign as shown;

2d≤24

This shows that the maximum number of days she can continue before replenishing is 12days. It cannot exceed

A hollow metal sphere of radius 5 cm is charged such that the potential on its surface is 10 volts. The potential at the centre
kap26 [50]
In your problem about the finding the potential voltage at the center of the sphere where as its radius is 5cm is charge such that the potential of its surface is 10volts. So the possible answer to this is also 10 volts, because the potential in the center and in the surface of the sphere is constant and the same.
