Answer:

The pollution that occurs there is heavier than the surrounding air, which leads to the buildup of smog.

Explanation:

 • The smog is a type of intense air pollution and it occurs due to the concentration of the air in terms of the smog and the fog and the visible air is composed of the nitrogen sulphur and the ozone gas. The man-made smog is derived from the combination of the particles like the vehicular emission and the forest and agriculture fires.
 • The photochemical smog is an example of the smog of the Los Angeles which includes the emission form the vehicles and it reacts with the sunlight firm the secondary pollutants and due to the aggregated contents of the atmosphere, it develops into the surrounding air mass.

Answer:

The pollution that occurs there is heavier than the surrounding air, which leads to the buildup of smog

Explanation:

The large urban areas, such as Los Angels, are having big problems with controlling the pollution. These areas are large economic centers, with millions of people living in them. All the different economic sectors concentrated in such small space, plus the traffic, are causing lot of pollution of the air, filling it with particles of metal and toxic gases, which are heavier than the air itself. Because they are heavier, they tend to stay low and are much more static, causing buildup of them, resulting in smog.

Which feature is considered evidence for continental drift?
UkoKoshka [18]
Plate tectonic is a scientific theory that says the Earth’s lithosphere is divided into several plates. The plates glide over the mantle. In early 20th century, this theoretical model builds on the concept of continental drift. It was first proposed by the scientist Alfred Wegener in 1912. After seafloor spreading was validated, the theory was accepted by the geoscientific community.

Which of the following best describes a fault? a. A giant gap or canyon at the Earth's surface. b. A cave or large hole hidden u
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

The correct answer is E. A fault is best described as fractured rock that has been displaced.

Explanation:

Transforming faults are lithospheric plate limits where there is neither subduction nor creation of lithosphere. They are located on the edge of tectonic plates and cut the ridges perpendicularly. The borders near this type of fault are geologically active (earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.).

The most famous transforming fault is that of San Andreas. It is in fact a set of transforming faults which ensures the sliding of the Pacific plate against the North American plate.
