Answer:

The pollution that occurs there is heavier than the surrounding air, which leads to the buildup of smog

Explanation:

The large urban areas, such as Los Angels, are having big problems with controlling the pollution. These areas are large economic centers, with millions of people living in them. All the different economic sectors concentrated in such small space, plus the traffic, are causing lot of pollution of the air, filling it with particles of metal and toxic gases, which are heavier than the air itself. Because they are heavier, they tend to stay low and are much more static, causing buildup of them, resulting in smog.

Which of the following lists two reasons why it is so cold on Mars?
Simora [160]

Answer:

Option D.

Explanation:

Mars is far from the Sun (less warmth from the Sun) and very little greenhouse warming due to its very thin atmosphere, is the right answer.

As the earth is distant from the sun so as the heat of the sun does not reach to mars. Another important reason why the climate on Mars is cold is that barren planet also has a shallow atmosphere that is 95% carbon dioxide. The distribution of Mars’ climate is remarkably comparable to Venus’, one of the least congenial atmospheres in all of the Solar System.
