One can find different geometric shapes in the painting such as the circles in the center of the painting and also there are rectangular prisms. The individual with the saxophone represents the African American creativity in music and literature during the <u>Harlem Renaissance. </u>

Aaron Douglass (1900-1979) was an African American painter and illustrator. His “Song of the Tower” illustration is part of “<em>The Aspects of Black’s Life” </em>of 1934.
