Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

Area = 40 x^4

Perimeter =    32 x^2

Discussion:

     Perimeter =  4*(2x^2 + 2x^2)  +                   (walking down the staircase)

                            4(*2x^2) +                               (left vertical wall)

                           4(2x^2)                                   (bottom horizontal line)

                     =  16x^2 + 8x^2 + 8x^2 =

                     = 32x^2

   Area: draw 4 vertical lines in figure to create 4 rectangles.

   Area =  2x^2 (8x^2)  +                        A = l * w

                2x^2(6x^2) +

                2x^2(4x^2) +

               2x^2(2x^2) =

               16x^4 + 12x^4 + 8x^4+ 4x^4 =

               40x^4

Thank you,

MrB

Can you please help me with 1-12? Thank you
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

1. 18.84 in

2. 56.52 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The circumference of a circle is the distance around the circle. Its found using the formula C = πd or C=2πr. The variable d represents the diameter or the distance from one edge of the circle to the other through the cent. The variable r represents the radius of a circle or the distance from one edge to the center. Use the formula by substituting a diameter or radius then simplify.

1. C = πd = π(6) = 3.14(6) = 18.84 in

2. C = 2πr = 2(3.14)(9) = 56.52 cm

The following stem-and-leaf plot represents the scores earned by Mr. Roberts's class on their most recent science test.
Alinara [238K]
First we need to count the total number scores. This can be done from the stem and leaf plot. The total number of scores are 19. The total number of values is odd, so the median position will be:

\frac{19+1}{2}=10th

Thus the 10th score is the median score for the class of Mr. Robert. The 10th score from the stem and leaf plot is 81.

Thus 81 is the median score of Mr. Robert's Class.
