C^2= a^2 + b^2                  a=b
34^2= a^2 + a^2
1156=2a^2
a^2=1156/2
a^2=578
a=24.04

The side length is 24.04
            Or I got this also
Using the special triangle theorem , an isosceles triangle has a diagonal equal to the square root of 2 of the legs of the triangle. In this case, the length of the legs is 34/ sqrt of 2 or equal to 24.04 units . This rule is based on the Pythagorean theorem
If the length of each side = x.

By Pythagoras' Theorem:

x² + x² = 34²

2x² = 34²

x² = 34² / 2

x² = 578

x = √578

<span>x ≈ 24.04 inches
hope this helps

A fish tank in the shape of a cuboid has length 60cm, depth 30 cm and height 30 cm.
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

54 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

the right term to describe the capacity is volume

volume = height × length × width

(depth and height have the same meaning)

volume = 30 × 30 × 60

volume = 54000 cm³

1 liter = 1 dm³

54000 cm³ = 54000÷ 1000

(why divided by 1000 not 10? because its cm³ which means cm × cm × cm => 10 × 10 × 10)

54000 cm³ = 54 dm³

then

54 dm³ = 54 liters

California is coming out with a new license plate. The license plate will have 2 letters followed by 3 digits from 0 to 9 then f
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

11,232,000 different plates

Step-by-step explanation:

Figure it out like this:

2letters × 3digits × 1letter

Nothing can repeat.  There are 26 letters in the alphabet.  If we use 1 of those letters, then there are only 25 letters left to choose from.  That's why we start with 26 × 25.

Now for the digits, we have 10 choices for the first digit, then 9 choices for the second digit, then 8 choices for the third digit.  That's why we follow the letters with 10 × 9 × 8.

For the last letter, we had 24 choices left, so the whole thing is found by multiplying:

26 × 25 × 24 × 10 × 9 × 8 × 24 = 11,232,000
