Answer:

The animals get nitrogen from the plants. The nitrogen that is present in the environment is not used by the plants in the gaseous form. The bacteria that is found in the soil fixes nitrogen and makes it usable for the plants.

The plants uptake nitrpogen in the form of nitrates. The animals that feed on these plants uptake nitriogen from it.

The animals excrete the waste materials and release nitrogen in the environment.

Considering the drifting of continents, how do you explain the abundance of marsupials and the absence of native placental mamma
garri49 [273]

Answer:

this phenomenon is a natural consequence of evolutionary processes and continental drift

Explanation:

Marsupials are mammals in which newborn offspring are carried in a pouch of the female (mother) body. On the other hand, placentals are mammals that complete embryo development in the mother's body, in the placenta. All the extant marsupials are endemic to Australia and the Americas. It has been shown that marsupials diverged (evolved) in South America, Australia and Antarctica when these landmasses were joined. In Australia, marsupials evolved to fit an ecological niche, which can be attributed to geographic isolation due to continental drift, while placental mammals are relatively recent and more scarce (mainly bats and rodents) within this region.

chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

It contains Uracil (U) instead of Thymine (T).

Reason for primer removal:

This is because of their uracil nucleotide which is absent in DNA. Instead of Uracil DNA contains Thymine nucleotide.

Explanation:

Primers:

Primers are a short sequence of RNA. These sequences attached to the 5' end are the requirement of DNA polymerase to start the process of replication.

Primer removal:

After replication, these short fragments of RNA are removed to replaced with DNA from the newly synthesized DNA strand.

Reason for primer removal:

This is because of their uracil nucleotide which is absent in DNA. Instead of Uracil DNA contains Thymine nucleotide.

Best Answer:

Because It contains Uracil (U) instead of Thymine (T).
