A conflict in literature is defined as any struggle between opposing forces. Usually, the main character struggles against some other force. This type ofconflict is what drives each and every story. Without it, the story would have no point or purpose.

external could be man vs nature, man vs society, man vs man etc. these are all people vs outside forces

I guess that that quote said by Marmee means that Meg should develop skills and qualities which are praiseworthy, such as being hardworking, honest, and generally good, which people deem to be the qualities that a decent human being should have. She also mentions that even though she may be pretty, Meg shouldn't be vain about it, and should strive to have good inner qualities besides those outward ones.

What you do first is find the LCD (Least Common Denominator)
You do this by finding the factors of 16 and seeing if they correspond with two.
So you're factors are, (1,16) (2,8) (4,4)
So the LCD is 2. You would then make each fraction over two. Since 1/2 is already over 2 you would make 5/16 over two by dividing by 8.
That gives you .347 or 347/1000
Then you would add each whole number, 24 + 2. This gives you 26 and then add the decimel. 26.347
